Default Kia Sorento

For the price, I think the Kia Soreno is a very nice looking little ute. Anyone ever had any first hand experience with/in one of these?

I'm hoping that this will force Hyundai to improve the styling of the Santa Fe, which gets good reviews but is downright ugly..

I think Hyundai bought Kia so maybe the Sorento will start to resemble the Santa Fe, which my wife really likes. I did too at first but slowly I began to realize that Santa Fe's body was cleverly styled to make it appear larger than it actually is and I began to feel somewhat deceived and started resenting Hyundai.

Yep, Hyundai's website has Kia listed as member of their family.

God, that would really suck. (IMHO)

Hyundai seems to love to flair their design. The older Tiburon, from which the current Santa Fe borrows many design miscues, took the exaggerated flairing of the fender wells to a whole new level.

I must admit that this year's redesigned Tiburon looks much better... I believe I read that a Lotus designer had a hand in this new design.

I test drove one a few times before I narrowed my search. I like the exterior a lot, dare I say, more than the Pilot? But, that's were it ended. The 4 wheel drive system failed to engage 2 of the 4 times I tried it. The power to mpg ratio seemed bad. The interior looked good, but didn't have a good feel. The back seat in the leather version had very minimal padding and after about a half hour was uncomfortable. I was really hoping this vehicle was better, I really wanted something with a 2-speed transfer case. Oh well, I'm happy with my Pilot.

Default Kia Sorento LOOKS nice but...

Drive one and you'll quickly change your mind. It gives a lousy ride, handles poorly and gets really bad gas mileage for a small SUV.

Dealer even want markup when I ask for price. I don't care how hot Sorento can get. But if I only save two thousand then a pilot. Of course I bought my pilot.
