Default Lexus rx330 replaces rx300

below is a link to the picture I saw this on carconnection. Apparantly, Lexus sees need for 3rd row in the rx series. Probably to compete with mdx.

If the RX gets bigger, isn't that getting very very close in size to the new GX(?)?

Just how many buyers are there out there for all of these various makes, models and versions with incremental size differences?

So is a change to the Highlander far behind? I'm sure a 3rd row seat option will become available in the Toyota version soon after it's introduced in the Lexus.
