Wow, someone that's heard of Boingo. Not real big here in the south west.

Favorites: Kind of on a Allison Krauss kick right now but can listen to anything. Pink Floyd to Garth Brooks( he used to play in a club about 10 miles up the road before people started liking his music). Big Band, Rock old and new, Country, no disco please.
Hell ya, Boingo rocks. I have a couple of their albums, yes albums-vinyl, those black round things from a bygone era. Still have an 8 track too.

I've discovered Johnny Cash's music since watching the movie WALK THE LINE with PHOENIX as CASH. Since I liked the movie a lot I thought I'd pick up the soundtrack, but when I was at the store I ended up buying the genuine material instead......I bought "The Legend Johnny Cash" CD.......love all the songs.......the almost simplistic lyrics and musical arrangements are refreshing from the heavily synthesized/computer enhanced sounds of todays artists.

Also listening to Jack JOHNSON's "In Between Dreams" and "Curious George" soundtrack CD's, I discovered his sound while skating at the outdoor rink at Fairmonts Jasper Park Lodge, the staff at the outdoor kiosk played one of his CD's, the sound intrigued me so I asked who the artist was. When we got back into town I went ahead and bought the CD's.....still searching for the CD that I heard in Jasper, the CD feature Jack and his guitar......again a much simpler sound which I tend to gravitate to nowadays.

my background is A/V recording and post production. I am in tech now, but when I got out of school I worked for a major label for several years.

One of my first gigs was to be the cameraman on a tour bus for a band that was releasing a new album and wanted to promote it across america starting in Clevland OH. Turned out to be a 3 month road trip with Jon Bon... man what an introduction to the music industry that was! We were head bangers by day and at night I would fire up Andreas Vollenweider to chill everyone out

Today I listen to a very large inventory of music from Rush to todays country and everything from Coletrain to Handle... love the music world!

I also am a big fan if Jack Johnson. I discovered his music a while back when I was in Hawaii. He was virtually unheard of in the Midwest, so it was very hard to find his CDs in stores here a couple of years ago. He has since had a few hits on the radio, so the larger stores like Best Buy carry all his CDs now, but not many people in my neck of the woods like that style of music. Too bad, their loss.
