Default Pilot a Family vehicle?

In another thread, robrecht attributed the friendly nature of people at honda-pilot.org to the "family orientation" of the Pilot. Who's who in Pilot-land?

I bought the Pilot for my wife, my dog and myself... So I consider it a family vehicle.

Smile I bought mine for the family

Wife, kids, dog and two cats. We do long distance trips for family vacations and the room is terrific. The VTM-4 capability will be welcome security for a planned trip to Boston next March.

So far though the Mrs. hasn't had a chance to drive it yet.

I bought the pilot with the intent of my wife driving our daughter around but I have really enjoyed it as of late and almost want to keep it for myself.

Well, I hope my casual remark won't be misinterpreted as offensive to anyone. I certainly didn't mean to imply that people who buy the Pilot as anything other than a family vehicle are somehow any less friendly. Not at all. In my mind I was very generally comparing this site with other sites that I frequent that differ in several ways. There are some very, very friendly people here regardless of one's definition of family. [/political correctness disclaimer]

We have 2 adults, 2 small kids (6, 2) and a fat, smelly dog. We were smushed in my Infiniti between all of the people, carseats and baby gear. I swore my next car would be roomy! I am more of a "car" person but this car will suit us perfectly for the next few years. After that, I will be getting my small X5.

Actually, I noted something similar here earlier today. The MDX site seemed more friendly than here.

Yes, that's the same thread Jay was referring to at the beginning of this thread.

Definitely a family car. I bought it so my wife could haul the baby daughter around. I'm more of a car guy myself. I drive the Pilot on the weekends and it's great for shopping. Monday morning and I go from Pilot to Maxima, feels like a race car!

Default Family man

Married with two small kids (3 and 9mos) plan on having at least one more before we get rid of this thing. All the room and mpg of a minivan with the much needed weather capabilities of an SUV how could we go wrong. DVD is a dream come true, will never attempt to haul small children without one again.

Third child on the way kicked me out of "Sedansville" -while seriously limiting my small and agile fuel efficient options. I dreamt of the Acura TL type S. But as big as she is, there's nowhere near the space of the Pilot. My needs and resources led me to the Pilot. She has stepped up and and stood out from the competition in all areas, without forcing me into a minivan. I love that it's based on the Odyssey but still has the SUV look. I have to like what my $30K looks like. She's the MDX without her makeup, still pretty, but not HOT.

The width makes 3 seat installation simple, no more smashed contorted wrists looking for the seatbelt, and plenty of room for backpacks and diaperbags. Day to day convenience comfort and quite fuel efficient for it's weight and power.

Heck yeah, I'd say it's one serious family vehicle!
