Default What position is your third row usually in?

I've had my Pilot for a little over 18 months now. For most of the first year, the third row was up, and never used as seating. For the last 6 months, it's been stowed, with a cargo tray, cover, and organizer on it. Today, I decided I was tired of the cover rattle, and removed the tray, cover, and organizer. and returned the third row to its upright position. No rattle, and I have enough cargo room for my usual load - groceries. What's everyone else doing?

70% of the time the 3rd row is stowed, the other times it's used to transport my boy's little buddies.

Haven't needed to use it yet but it's still nice to have just in case--I've started calling it a rumble seat after passing a classic Ford carrying a Christmas tree in it's rumble seat yesterday.

The interesting thing I find about the poll results at this point is that most people need the extra cargo space. I did a poll earlier about how many people wish the pilot was another 12" longer to expand the cargo area in particular so you wouldn't need to put the seats down.

Then we would be driving Surburbans!

dbudds, just click on the "quote" button in the lower right corner of someone's post to quote them. Certain things need to be longer --like holidays, vacations, and weekends. The Pilot's not something that needs to be longer.

Stowed 95% of the time. If I need more room I use the van.

.

That's actually a good one bdudds. A suburban is actually 31" longer than a pilot and 7 inches taller. I really need a suburban to gan an extra 12" in Pilot length?

Default Surprised!

I decided to read all the posts before I voted "just for grins". I voted for "seat up - ready for use" figuring that when I read the results that would be the "norm" since that has been one of the selling points of the Pilot. I was surprised to see that I was one of only 2 that had voted that way and 13 had voted that they have it stowed, ready to haul cargo.

Colorider,

After reading your sad news about leaving the group to join the biker gang, I can see why everything you have is up . So how are the girls anyways?

Maybe you should start a poll on how many girls in thong undies can you get into your pilot?

How do you get all their bikes on your roof anyways?

Could I suggest a trade of your pilot for the following to host your friends after a long days "drive"

I come from a Durango, that also had the third row. Most of the time it was down except when I needed to transport little people in the back.

Unfortunately, in the Pilot, with the Graco carseat in the middle of the second row, you can't flip the smaller of the second row seats up to even GET to the third row - so my third row will probably be down until about the time I (as opposed to the bank) actually OWN the car.

Jay,

How about another option on this poll for a split?
The 1/3 part of my third row is almost always up just in case it's needed, while the 2/3 part is down for more cargo room.
