After owning 3 Honda Odysseys, the shorter length of the Pilot on the same platform as the Odyssey troubles me from time to time in terms of interior room. If it were longer, it could be spread out between the various rows and the rear cargo area. Would you rate the Pilot as:
- just right length - too long -wish it was 6 inches Longer - wish it was 12 inches Longer (same as Odyssey) - wish it was 18 inces Longer ....

I'd vote Just Right if that were a choice. Mods: poll help needed here.

The length of the Pilot is actually just about right for me. If it was any longer it would not fit in my garage. That's mostly my fault for all of the junk I have in the way. I have had large SUV's and trucks in the past and none of them could I even think of getting in the garage. Granted there are only three of us in my family so the Pilot provides us with ample room. I suppose if I had a couple more folks to fit in, a little more size would be benificial.

Thanks Kemosabe, I forgot the just right. Next time I do a poll I will know how to do it as this was my first time. I wasn't sure what to put in the original message and then the poll dialogue popped up.

Our Pilots are 188 inches long. The Accord is 190. A Tahoe is 199, and the Excursion is a ridiculous 227. I don't think asking for a few more inches is much, and would add some much needed groceries/luggage room. It's just fine with one side of the 60/40 down, but sometimes I have more passengers AND cargo. I'm totally happy with the Pilot, but a few more inches, maybe 6, would make me REALLY happy. The nose would definitely have to be longer or it would just be freakishly short looking. Then there's the extra vehicle weight and suffering agility when you lengthen the wheel base. I don't know how, but of all the car makers, I trust Honda could do it very well.
Around town and parking or with no 3rd row seat use, heck yeah, the Pilot is a perfect length. I've put washers, dryers, and a dishwasher (seperate occasions) behind the 2nd row. The width is incredible. I'm actually awed that Honda put so much into such a short vehicle, but could I use a few more inches, definitely.
