Many reviews I've read, even very flattering ones, mention some disappointment with the Pilot's exterior styling...words such as "bland," "unexciting," and "predictable" have been used. On the other hand, a few have described the styling as "classic," "no-nonsense," or "having clean lines."
The interior styling seems to have been judged a little more positively, but emphazing practicality and functionality. On the other hand, there have been a sizable number of complaints about "cheap plastic" being used instead of more durable and/or more visually appealing material. In short, I was curious about to what degree our members feel "style-deprived."

I can't imagine anyone spending $28 - $32k for something they really don't like. Maybe unless they have $50k taste and a $30k pocketbook. The real question in my humble opinion is; are you willing to pay more for a few extra frills? Probably not or there would be a lot fewer Pilots on the road and a lot more MDXs.

I actually like the styling of the Pilot, despite what many reviews or publications have stated about it. I prefer understated aesthetics of the Pilot instead of gaudy looks that scream for attention. So, I don't think Honda needs to do much to change the looks.
That said, I still think they could've had the fog light, the fender flares, the cross bars and the side steps/running boards come as standard

I really dig the look of the Pilot. All I would like to see is the roof rack cross bars standard.

I really like the exterior styling of the Pilot. I think what I am waiting for are the little custom touches that let you make your own statement in style.
I am sure this year we will see a bunch of cool add-ons that we can get to set our rides apart. Maybe some flames would look nice too... Don

So are you really thinking of two wide stripes? I think I like the idea because it is different...
I would pick two colors, one lighter and one darker to contrast. Maybe one would be white and one a blue like this .I am a bit on the flashy side so you may not like my colors. Now, I am thinking of getting our white Pilot striped. Maybe a bit of a "Splat" or something might look good at the end of the stripe. Hmmmmmm....... Think Think Think... Don

...I wish they would have kept the styling cues from the Pilot prototype, like the color matched fog lights, stainless steel exhaust tips and the better looking rims....

Foglights, rear Mud Guards, Crossbars should have been standard equip. with the Ex model.
