Question Rate your poor starting problem

I've seen a lot of different descriptions of the poor starting problem from "didn't start first try" to "won't start for 20 minutes".

If you have the slow starting problem, but the severity varies, pick the category which fits the largest number of occurrences.

Not sure if this will help, but I press down on the gas pedal a little and then try and start it. This hasn't failed yet.

You should not have to do this? It is not recommend unless it is flooded. I would find out if this may cause damage eventually to your Pilot if you do it all the time.

I don't think this is necessary with fuel injection, but I sometimes also find myself applying slight pressure to the pedal.
I'm guessing that Choctaw also falls into the "always starts" category.

I do know that if you pump the pedal while starting, you can flood the system and make it turn over slower or run rough after starting.
