Default I've owned 3 troublefree Hondas

1980 Honda Accord (had 162,000 miles on it before selling it for $3,000. Only major work needed were new floats in the carburator)

1988 Honda Accord (Has 177,000 miles on, only replaced the fuel injectors, one axle and a/c seal on compressor - not even $1,000 in repairs) Still runs like new - This is a great car!!!!

2003 Honda PILOT (Has 6,800 miles on it, have replaced side mirror and will have right front fender repainted, thanks to a 3 foot copper pipe flying off the freeway and smashing into me - dammit!!)
l LOVE MY PILOT and think it's the best Honda on the road (when you factor out Acura)

92 civic EX (trouble free)
95 civic SI minor problems but basically (trouble free)
Wife bought a 98 Jimmy (BIG MISTAKE)
now we have a Pilot! ahhh, what a relief

My Dad owned a 92 accord never reported one problem with it in 5 years!

My Grandma owned a 95 Accord and then bought a 98 CRV because she totaled the accord..

The rest of my family will not take my advice and they remain GMC or Ford buyers. Now they try to sell they cars and I laugh because they are not worth much. (Hey, I told you so)

Talking Second Honda

Our first Honda was a used '88 Accord. Bought it for $4200, and sold it for $3200 five years later (summer of 2001). It was a great car with 166,000 miles on it. My wife hated it because it sat so low. My daughter loved it because she could sit up front - no air bag!! Always hoped to have another Honda someday, so I am thrilled with our Pilot. The wife and kids have named it "Jet" - how original!
