Default What career are you in?

Hey everyone.....I just thought it might be interesting to see what everyone here does for a living.

I work at the Wal-Mart Corporate Offices in Bentonville, AR in the Supercenter Division, with several food buyers.

It is a 64 mile round trip from my home in Missouri, 5 days a week.

Let's keep this going.

Started off as a software developer, now, I'm a corporate intranet/portal developer with Oracle integrated work. My round trip from home to work would be about, oh, I'd say, 25KM. I almost envy you, get to drive the Pilot like that everyday. Is it mostly freeway or highway driving?

90% highway, 10% city.....not really an interstate, but a 4-lane highway for the first 5 miles or so, then it's a crummy 2-lane to the AR state line where it turns to 4 again.

I normally don't drive the Pilot everyday. I'm trying to keep it "new". I've had it since July and it has almost 3700 miles on it.

My Grand Prix on the other hand has almost 72,000 nearly-trouble-free miles on it. I swap the Grand Prix with the Pilot every few days or so.....it deserves a rest now and then. Cuz Lord knows it's been through hell and back traveling that horrible 2-lane road, with very little complaint. It's still first in my book

I work as a Retail Sales Market Manager with AT&T Wireless. I cover three stores and three markets. I've been in wireless for nearly 6 years now and I enjoy it.

My wife owns an Italian restaurant. The Pilot is hers. I drive the S2000 daily but I occasionally (like tomorrow) drive the Pilot whenever I have things to load or people to haul. I've got a little trip to pick up some signage tomorrow and the Pilot will be just the ticket.

What a great vehicle the Pilot has been.

Italian's my favorite kind of food btw. I can live on proscuitto, mild provolone sandwich with olive oil marinated roasted peppers. My mouth waters just thinking about it. Mario Batali on The Food Channel's my favorite chef.

I go to Save-On-Foods all the time here in Edmonton. I think you guys have the best deli among the supermarket chains, even better than Superstore. I see IGA with their Garden Markets trying to make strides in the deli dept., but they're still not there yet.

I LOVE New Bern. Which restaurant? Next time I am there we will go to it!

I am in human resources for an electric cooperative. Started off in HR for a Fortune 500 company, then went to HR for a smaller, VERY expensive furniture manufacturer (I bought all the reject pieces from our plant that I could find a place to store. It was still nicer than anything in my home!), and now with a coop, or REA as they are known in the mid-west.
Before I found my calling in HR, I was an accountant...go figure.
