Default Pin stripes on Redrock Pilot?

I had some gold pin stripes (standard Honda style) put on my Firepepper red Accord but I'm not sure about the Pilot.

What do you all think?

I tested mine with a couple of scraps of silver and gold. Gold looks nice, and I decided on a single, fairly thick stripe.....that I'll eventually get put on

Me too - let's see what yours looks like. I've been debating on adding a tan pinstripe.

How easy is it to apply yourself and where do you get the pinstriping? Also, is there any problems when washing or waxing?

From the ones I've seen, a bit more tedious than your door edge guards, and if you don't get it lined up/stuck properly, washing and waxing is a problem. I peeled the crap off my '98 Accord; the ends were pulling up within a few days of getting it home from the dealer.

I personally would not waste the time and money on taped pinstripes. They will always look like "just tape" and they will start to curl. You will also have wax/polish build up along the edges.

Just my $.02

Agreed. For something really unique, look into having the pinstriping painted on. This also allows you to use more than one color. A wide contrasting stripe (maybe gold or tan) accented by a subtle thin stripe.

I've had taped pinstripes on a few vehicles, more popular here back in the 80's I guess, the tape did hold up but the ends (starting point, indside the doors) became a problem. Quick fix is clear nail polish.

Washing was not a problem but waxing was a pain. If you get wax over the pinstripe and then remove it, there would be a noticable build up left along the edge.

Same here - taped stripes back in the (gasp) 80's and 70's. I just had my RidgeLine stripped this last week. The guy who did it has been doing it for over 25 years. I went with two colors - each of which was a slightly lighter shade of the interior colors. Both look quite nice on the white exterior (IMHO).
