Default Do you have a wood-trim dash kit installed?

Thinking about installing a wood-trim dash kit for quite a while. I've done a lot of research. So far I am think about getting the OEM one. The ONLY thing I do not like about the OEM wood-trim kit is the two pieces in the ceter dash. I do not know why HONDA did not make it cover the whole plastic piece like most of the aftermarket ones. Any pros and cons ?

Agree... I might have bought the OEM kit because it seems to be very good quality, but it looks cheesy IMO having a lone piece of plood on each side of the radio or NAV (the radio in this picture.)

I ordered my wood dash kit through www.NYCdashes.com. I like the way the OEM looks, but not the costs. NYCdashes was much cheaper. They have a basic and a full kit for the Pilots. I haven't installed them yet because I am still deployed. Heck, I haven't even driven my pilot yet. It's killing me!!!

I am going to get the OEM soon because of the quality look. I think it makes the saddle interior look much better.

I have an aftermarket kit and a larger piece that covers the sides and front of the radio. What I found is that it covers up some of the button function markings for the DVD-RES. Not a big deal, but that may have influenced Honda in their approach to piece selection.

I'm curious about that. Can you post pics once you get your kit installed? I'd love to see how it looks with the saddle interior.

Also, I have no experience with these kits - I assume they're adhesive-backed laminates? Does anyone have a pic of the material uninstalled?

THANKS!!

OK..... just ordered the OEM kit from HandA. $363.28 . There are better prices out there if you don't have EXL with RES or NAVI, and their shipping was like $6 and about $20 elsewhere. The reg kit has shorter pieces on the console I believe and these pieces are sold separately for about $40. Soon I will get the surround for the RES unit in the headliner.

Now if my Wife will just let me convince her that now that our Parents are in their 60s, we need the OEM side steps .
