Default Do you turn off all switches on the Pilot?

Of course the light switches, heater/airconditioner are always turned off after using the Pilot.

I'm talking about these switches.

Radio button
Seat Heaters
etc.

I always like to turn off everything , sort of like a shutdown procedure.

Wipers - I always turn them off
Headlights - only if I won't be using the Pilot for the rest of the night
Anything else - no, I let the Pilot turn them off.

I was wondering the same thing.

Does it put extra strain on the vehicle or battery if you start up with the radio and air on, as well as maybe having your cellphone or some other devices plugged into outlets?

Why does the dang cruise control master switch stay on???

And what about the rear HVAC that requires pressing the dash button to control it every time I restart my Pilot??

Is that a bad thing? I have never shut mine off. Only thing that bugs me is the reflection of the little light in the corner of my windshield. Oh well.............

We always leave the lights on...... they shut off by themselves after all, and it makes for great DRLs

This habit has only caused one problem, where my wife forgot to shut off the lights on my old Suburban(which has nothing "automatic" except the transmission ) .... and in so doing, ran the battery down

We don't leave the seat heaters on, or cruise control though, as they are used infrequently. But Heater/AC, Lights, Radio.... sure

My thoughts exactly about comparing it to a shutdown procedure. I guess I just got used to doing it this way.

I always turn everything off. When I was young, somebody, possibly my mom, told me that if you leave the radio on the car could catch on fire. I realize now that it was probably pure sillyness (I'm a fireman and I've never seen a car fire caused by that) but it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks.

I leave 'em ALL on...seat heater, radio, heater/ac, cruise control, even the cornering lights (po boy DRL's). Never had a problem. With a 15 m/o in tow at most times, I have enough to think about when I shut 'er down.

Turn off lights, seat heaters, wipers, everything else is left on. I guess that just leaves the radio and the heater.
