We have the stock Goodyears with about 20K in them, I drove home from MA to NH last night (about 70 miles with picking up the kids) in sleet / freezing rain following a few inches of snow and had no issues with traction. I was NOT trying to set land speed records, but found the Goodyears to be compatable with our driving style through their second New England winter.
The wife predominantly drives the Pilot but I get to take it on the bad days for the AWD aspects as her commute is about 10 miles RT, but she reports no concerns in the "lighter" winter stuff. You are going to find a ton of threads on tire choices and people will be quite vehement in defending their chioces. The OEM rubber has been blasted for being bad in the rain, noisy on dry pavement and middling in the snow. I guess that I would prefer Michelins if Honda was willing to make them OEM, but I would still take the Pilot over my Camry with Michelins if the weather is going to be severe.
