What a good timing for the TSB. Thanks for posting it. I went to the dealer 5 days ago to complained about the accelerator pedal sticking. They only cleaned the offending parts and lubricate it. Now I can go back and let them change the parts in question.

I just drop off my Pilot at a local Honda service center this morning & showed a copy of TSB 04-063. The service manager at first didn't want to do it, but after I showed him the section that stated that cleaning of the problem parts wouldn't solve the problem, he finally relented. Lucky for me they got the new parts in stock.

I recently bought a 2005 Pilot and after about 100 miles the noted "clunk" started to occur. This thread was great in helping me figure out what it may be. But, I took it to the dealer, Service Bulletin in hand, and they checked it out. They indicated Honda's name for the problem was "pad shift." Problem is, the bulletin doesn't apply to the 05's. They test drove it and compared it to others and said the clunk was similar in all vehicles and there was nothing they could do about it.

BrianLund - The tsb 04-019 (brake shims) that you are referring to, only for '03 and part of '04 Pilot. I think the latter part of '04 and all of '05 have the new redesign brake shims.
