I'm starting a new thread on this because Ziploc did not get any response to this question last June.

I've been getting this message off and on for quite a while now. It seems to happen in the places where the ads are supposed to be.

Does anyone know what causes it?

I sure do miss the number of new messages count on the home page, though.

If you use Spybot Search and Destroy and immunize your system, certain sites will be blocked and a not authorized message can appear.

Other programs may do something similar.

So, I'm gathering that this is not a problem for most of you?

I do use Spybot Search and Destroy, Adaware, and Microsoft's new spyware program that's in beta. However, the ads appear sometimes and other times I get the error message so I don't think the spyware programs are to blame.

This is exactly what the Spyware programs will do, as he said:

That means that some ads will appear and others will be blocked. The blocked ads will produce the error message.

Very interesting. I wonder what criteria it uses to black them?

Hmmm... I use Spybot and Adaware and I don't recall ever getting these messages. Could it possibly be that MS program?

I had the problem before I installed the MS program.

I just experienced the problem again in the google banner ads area at the top of the page. When I went to the next page the problem went away.
