This sounds similar to reported problems with loose battery terminals. Yeah, I know it sounds weird, and I couldn't believe tightening the terminals solved the problem We lived with it for a couple of months, and it got fixed sort of by accident when the battery was disconnected to have it checked out of the vehicle.
Worth a try.
