The breathing performance of the Amsoil filter does not fall off as fast compared with paper filters, as contamination builds up.
Plus, it can be easily cleaned 2 or 3 times over it's life which is easily 3X that of a paper filter.
The filter was actually developed by Donaldson Filtration Solutions.

I don't buy or sell Amsoil lubricants, they are over-kill IMO for most applications, not to say they are not quality products. The air filter is one I can see that does offer greater benefits than paper, and is also cost-effective.
Nothing wrong sticking with the stock filter, just replace as required.
