Let's see....

My '04 spins 2k on the tach at 74 mph.....

Let's say redline is 6k on the tach.....

6 divided by 2 = 3...... 3 X 74 mph = 222 mph which sounds just about right. Sorry, I'm still buzzing on overload from last weekend's Grand Prix of Houston.

That was my first champ car event and I'll attend every year from here on out. Cosworth V8's that usually operate at 12,000rpms, putting out 800 hp in an open wheeled car that weighs virtually nothing.

Accelerate from 0-60 in about 2 seconds, which is impressive but not their specialty. They pretty much have to be pushed from a dead stop when even in first gear. Or stall...

0 -100mph in something like 4 seconds, but the real joy is watching them come out of a corner and hit 200mph right in front of the main grandstand/startfinish line

At 12,000 rpms, your ears want to bleed from the noise, it is something that can NEVER be explained or described, only experienced.

Sorry to jack your thread, Pilot probably stops accelerating around 115mph is my guess.
