Default Viewing Threads

HI...

I'm a new member of hondapilot.org and really enjoy the site. But I do have a hard time following the threads. Is there a view of threads that is indented (similar to Googles groups) so that I can see which reply applies to which message/reply?

I'm waiting for my Explorer to die (216K) and hope to be a Pilot owner when that happens.

Great site...keep up the good work.

Welcome aboard!! Sometimes our threads have a tendency to drift - but all messages/replies should always show up in the same thread that they were originally posted.

And if all of us were a bit more inclined to use the quote button, you can see in the thread who's responding to what. But even newer versions of the vBulletin software used for this forum don't appear to support the feature that Google groups has.

I kind of figured that out. But it's not easy to know whether the reply is to the original message or to one of the replys to the message. They all look like this to me:

message
reply 1
reply 2
reply 3
reply 4
reply 5
reply 6

I'd like them to look like:

message
reply 1
reply 2
reply 3
reply 4
reply 5
reply 6

Make sense?

Sorry...The indentations were lost...let me try again...

message
---reply 1
---reply 2
---reply 3 (to reply 2)
---reply 4 (to reply 2)
---reply 5
---reply 6 (to reply 5)

I'd like them to look like:

message
---reply 1
---reply 2
------reply 3
------reply 4
---reply 5
------reply 6

This software doesn't even support what you were trying to show because it deletes leading spaces.

What you meant was:

message
reply 1
reply 2
reply 3
reply 4
reply 5
reply 6

I'd like them to look like:

message
reply 1
reply 2
----reply 3
----reply 4
reply 5
----reply 6

Hmmm, okay - now I understand. I have seen many like that - but all the forums I regularly subscribe to are just as this one is. I guess it is all what you get used to - like cars!!!
