Default Garage Floor Surfacing

Anybody know anything about garage floor tiles or roll out floor surfacing, like this: http://www.garagefloor.com/garage-fl...ing-ribbed.htm

The previous owners painted the garage floor and it's peeling pretty bad at this point. I was thinking of going over it with an epoxy coating, but that looks like a multiple day process. I'm being a little lazy and looking into these other surfaces thinking it would be less prep work and easier to install and maybe hold up better. They are quite a bit more expensive than the epoxy would be. I have a 3 car garage, so it's a pretty big area to cover.

Thanks for any insights.

Thanks, I have seen other tiles like that, but if I'm doing the math right, my three car garage will run $1650. Not really finding any other cheaper options though. I've heard some bad stories about the do it yourself epoxy stuff not holding up.

I used the Rustoleum product 5 years ago and still looks as good as day 1 (once it's been cleaned :-) The key is how well the concrete surfaced has been cleaned and free of moisture. In your case, you will have to strip off all of the old paint and prep the surface accordingly. Now is a good time before cold weather sits in. Going the epoxy route will be a lot more labor intensive but a lot less expensive - even if you go with one of the more expensive kits (i.e UCoatIt).

Thanks. Another interesting option. I'm currently caught in paralysis by analysis mode. Don't really want to put in the effort to strip the old floor paint and add the epoxy, don't really want to spend the money on the tiles. Figure I'll just keep postponing my decision until it's too cold to do anything about it...

Sorry I didn't see this sooner.
I also have a 3-car garage and even tho we bought this house new, the garage had been used for storage by the builder and the floor was a disaster. Just couldn't get it clean, so I thought epoxy paint was out of the question.
I needed 3ea. 22'x10' sheets of the BLT flooring and it was deeply discounted thru Sams Club. Problem was, Sams specs it to be folded and boxed for shipment from the mfg. Everyone else ships it rolled up and the shipping charges are horrendous. So, by the time it arrived here thru the heat of summer across the desert south-west via UPS rail car, the folding caused stress marks that would not come out. Plenty of emails back and forth with the mfg. and couldn't resolve anything so I contacted Sams and they took it back and gave me a full refund, even tho the pieces had been cut to fit my garage.
I probably would have bought it thru Costco, but they only ever have 1 selction in stores - 8' x 17' in the gray diamond pattern, but it is in rolls.
I bought the ribbed pattern from Sams because I thought it would be easier to clean. In the 3 or 4 weeks I had it down, it was very easy to clean.

I ended up using semi-transparent concrete stain - 2 different colors w/2 sprayers - that I thought would blend well with the stains already on the floor. Then topped that off with a clear sealer. It's worked out really well, and very easy to clean (we get a lot of ag dust in our area that gets into everything). I have had just a little lifting of stain under the tires, but I expected that because of the horrible surface to begin with. I suspect it would have been much worse with epoxy paint.

I took plenty of pictures of the whole project to document everything if interested.

Of course, with your floor and peeling paint, it might be worth it to look into having it professionally cleaned/sandblasted to get a clean surface to start with.

Thanks. I'll be making a trip to the local Sams to see if they have it there. That's a pretty big discount in price.
