About 5 days to go and we only have 5 teams, we won't be allowed to draft if we have an odd number of teams!!

this is the inaugural "piloteers.org" Fantasy Football League.

the league page is at:

from there, you can click on the "Join a League" button and sign in. also, after you sign into their yahoo account, it will ask for the league ID along with the pw. you will find the league ID in the link I originally sent (league ID # is 599942) and the pw will be sent as before.

We need to have more folks sign up and have the draft on or before September 9 in order to get in on week 1. Leagues that complete drafts (live, auto, offline) after 11:59pm PT on Wednesday, September 9 will start scoring in week 2. However, the commissioner can adjust the league setting "Start League scoring in" to Week 1.

Let the games begin!!!!!!

When I posted to this thread I thought I was posting to this thread . Shouldn't they be combined?

Like I said, I'm new to FF, I don't know how to play and I don't understand why we need an even number of teams. I thought it was all based on points accumulated by the players on your roster and how they actually perform week to week. Do we actually play each other head to head? Is it based on Ws and Ls? I thought it was based on points.

You play head to head matches each week against another team in the league. Whoever gets the most points between those teams wins that week. It's not total points for the week amongst all the teams. Typically the teams with the best records then compete in playoffs against each other at the end of the year.
I would think if there was an odd number of teams there could be a bye week. I'm not that familiar with the site that is hosting the league. Some sites have a minimum amount of teams required for a league, or there may be a requirement of the site for an even number of teams to have a league.

We are back up to 6 teams!!!!!

The "regular season" covers the first 14 weeks of the NFL season which means, if we can get 2 teams more then there will be 2 head-to-head match ups with each of the other 7 teams.

We will have the autodraft this evening. I think about 10pm EST. If anyone else wants to play they need to sign up before that time. I have pm'd the password to a couple of folks who have not signed up yet. Come on and join the fun!!!!!

i signed into the league's homepage today and noticed the draft date had been changed to this sunday, september 13. so if anyone's still interested in joining up, there is still time!
