Angry Screwy Houston weather

No joke.....

Two days ago, had to run the a/c in the Pilot because everyone was complaining about how hot it was.

Friend of mine and I were talking Monday pm (Dec 8th) , he mentioned that he was running the home a/c that day, but had turned it off in the evening.

Can you believe that we're running a/c in December? I've lived along the Gulf Coast all my life, but still am baffled by the up and downs of the weather.

It is 3pm on Wednesday, only 2 days later , and we are getting freezing rain I have 2 thermometers outside and they are both reading 35 degrees, I think that is like 1 degree C.

Our city will probably make the national news tonight because nobody, I repeat nobody, can drive in the freezing stuff in this city!! The wrecker drivers will be having a field-day They'll be hundreds of accidents today with people driving like idiots over the overpasses that have frozen ice on 'em.

I think the high on Saturday, (only 3 days from now) is supposed to be about 72 degrees.

OK---

At 3:10, it is snowing.

Not too big a deal for you northerners, but it is truly rare in deep south Texas.

Shoot, 12 weeks ago, we had a brutal hurricane come through.

76 degrees for the high on Sunday, just 3 days from now.

Snowed yesterday.... went motorcycle riding today with my 8 yr old son who found his Christmas gift in the garage this past weekend.

We were both wearing light shirts with pullovers on top. That was all. the weather was great. Not a cloud in the sky and the ground was dry and hard.

Weird, wacky weather

Global Cooling?
Maybe you should checkout the snowblower thread. Or you could go East to Baton Rouge LA ...oops they got more snow than Katy, TX .

Well at least it gave you a chance to get acclimated to the cold and snow before your December vacation in Taos NM
Have a good time!

Pilot thermometer said 82 degrees today as did my outdoor, digital thermometer

Ummmm.. someone want to shed some light on this? I mean, it's February and I had a June bug flying around the light in my garage! Had a bee flying around behind me in my other car on the way home from lunch. Windows were down and sunroof was open.

I swear I heard a mosquito buzz me around sunset tonight.

Warm, warm, warm today
