Default New Baby!

It's been a long process, but I finally went to Guatemala last month to bring back our newly adopted Daughter Maria. She's now 17 months old. I took my Wife's Sister (she's 33 and avail guys) over with me. We were there for about a week. It was truly an awesome experience. Here's some pics I took around the house over the last few days.

and here are some pics from our Guatemala trip.

Great pics. I did get a warning about Safari couldn't get the certificate and the site might be masquerading as something else or something like that but I clicked accept and got the photos.

Jestmaty, maybe the problem is Windows or Vista? (I use OS X)

Thanks Guys! This is our 2nd child. My 6 yr old biological Son Jordan is in some of the pics.

As for the guys having trouble viewing.... here's what smugmug.com help suggests. I've never had a problem with firefox or IE security set to med. You guys must have security tight. I let Spyware Dr monitor for me in the background and dump my private data almost every session.

Help FAQ from site:

Viewing: Problems
Does your browser:

You need cookies! (yum)
Cookies!

Cookies are the small & safe files that sites like SmugMug and Amazon use to remember your preferences. They must be enabled for the best features to work.
Are you blocking cookies?

I'm using Internet Explorer.

If using Internet Explorer, choose the Tools menu item, then Internet Options. A small window will display. Select the Privacy tab.

Make sure the privacy slider isn't all the way up.

Once you have enabled cookies and clicked the OK button, close Internet Explorer and open it again.
setting cookies

I'm using Firefox.

If the excellent Firefox is your browser, you can go to Tools > Options > Cookies to see this dialog:
Firefox cookies

I'm using Safari for Macs.

If you're using Safari, go to Safari > Preferences. Under the "security" tab, make sure you have selected "Accept Cookies: Always".

Happiness is enabling cookies for SmugMug.com.
Do you run cookie-blasting software?

Sometimes anti-spyware programs think sites like SmugMug use cookies to monitor your surfing habits. We don't. We don't spam, don't display ads, don't have popups, and don't track you. You can safely tell your privacy software to allow SmugMug cookies.
Grrr... Nope, it wasn't cookies.

If SmugMug still isn't working right for you on browsers we support — IE 6.0 and above, Firefox 1.0 and above, and Safari for Macs — most likely some files your browser stored on your computer became corrupt.

Yuck! Tell me how to delete those bad files.

If using IE, go to Tools > Internet Options and the following dialog will appear:
Cookies IE

In the center of the dialog you'll see options to Delete Cookies and Delete Files. Try deleting files first and restarting your browser. It's amazing how many problems that fixes. If that doesn't work, delete cookies and restart.
Not funny anymore... I'm really stumped.

If you're a pro and use your own URL, you must set up your domain this way or cookies won't work.

If you're interested in troubleshooting the issue, I don't think the problem is cookies (yum!). I get the same message on IE7 whether my Privacy slider is set to Medium or Low or Accept All Cookies:

"There is a problem with this website's security certificate.

The security certificate presented by this website was issued for a different website's address.

Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept any data you send to the server.

We recommend that you close this webpage and do not continue to this website.

Click here to close this webpage.

Continue to this website (not recommended).

More information.

If you arrived at this page by clicking a link, check the website address in the address bar to be sure that it is the address you were expecting.
When going to a website with an address such as https://example.com, try adding the 'www' to the address, https://www.example.com.
If you choose to ignore this error and continue, do not enter private information into the website.

For more information, see "Certificate Errors" in Internet Explorer Help."

If I click "Continue to this website (not recommended)" I can see the pics (cute kids!). I didn't have this option on my phone but now I can see them on my laptop.

Did I mention you have cute kids?

Thanks for the kind words on our little family. When I was at the Embassy in Guatemala, there were kids everywhere of course. She was absolutely the most beautiful child there. I am sure everyone was thinking their kid was the cutest as well, but seriously... she really was. Our Social Worker back home here said the same and is the least Guatemalan baby she has ever seen. I think she looks more American Indian than anything else.

I also doubt this site is trying to do anything malicious. Maybe I'll just blow the dust off of my old Dreamweaver MX and maintain my own site again, but have no more interest.

I just ignored the warning to not go any further and got to your pics.

She is truly precious, thanks for sharing your photos.
