Default Anyone notice if Thankgiving weekend sale still going?

Anyone noticed if a lot of the "Thanksgiving weekend" sales are still going on? I've often wondered if I wanted to buy something in the next few days that was on 'sale' Friday, if the price is still the same as it was on Friday?

I need to go to Kohls later today to return something and pay my bill, but I'll bring along a Friday advertisement to see if some of the 'one day only' sales are still being honored.

I also need to run to Pep boys later today. I bought a '6 hour only' special price on a motorcycle Friday. I'll be curious if they still have that motorcycle on sale today, Tuesday. BTW- it is a Chinese made disposable motorcycle priced about 70% less than a comparably equipped Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, etc...

Utlimately it cost $500 plus $30 prep fee, $25 title fee, and a $50 document fee?.. so more like $600. Before fees and stuff, a Honda CRF100 lists for $2369. I have no idea how to bargain when buying a motorcycle, but I'm sure it is still close to 2k for the Honda.

Our bike is a 110cc, 4 speed dirt bike made in China. It has a Mikuni carb, but that is all I recognize. My 11 yr old is a cautious rider, wears his helmet, and is just now learning how to ride. He and I both discussed the possible frame weaknesses and to not push this bike hard.

Some buyers remorse... If I were going to buy a bike like this, I would have liked to buy a name brand, but $$ won't allow it. The next best option would have been another Pep boys bike marketed under Baja Motorsports name. At least they have a website...

The KC Motorsports brand we got has NO website. In fact, googling the variations of kcpowersportsusa.com wording yields little to no hits for the bike. I mostly get hits for some shop/store in Kansas City.

Oh well.... a classic example of you get what you pay for.

At least it runs well for now. I'll be worried when something breaks. Maybe this will turn into a LARGE SCALE training class of motorcycle tear down and reassembly (with some customization and fabricating ) too.

Our new bike...

I'd be curious how Pep Boys supports this product and their image selling stuff like this. I see this stuff in their ads here as well. Chinese made motorscooters are the most common pieces of junk......not too much different than a motorcycle, except fewer moving parts. As you said it, you get what you pay for.......in the scooter world, this stuff hardly lasts a year, as the engine ultimately fails and nobody can get parts for it. If you are handy with a set of tools, this might end up being a good garage project. For the sake of your little one, I hope it lasts, but buying a Honda or Yamaha would have been a much better expenditure....cause you could at least sell it when your kid outgrows it....but for $600...its worth the chance. Their isn't much haggling with motorcycles, except when you can find one on sale. There isn't much profit in them to negotiate off the price. Plus the dealer prep and freight and is usually added to the price....whatever it might be. Best of luck on this and hope your child enjoys his new toy.
