Default Either Don Willems goes, or I do

If this board is going to spammed day after day by a GM publicist, I will not come here.

I know, who cares if I go, right? But maybe if enough others will take the same pledge the admins will belatedly take action.

I know no one wants to be a Bulletin Board Nazi, but this person has gone so far beyond the bounds of board etiquette that it should be an easy decision to ban him.

The sad thing is, if everyone left, I suspect Don would take some pleasure (and is) in ruining a welcoming place for Pilot owners. But I'm not going to stick around here and watch him do it. It's too annoying.

Admins, please act.

Chris

That would be stupid, I have 2 other options, either put him on your ignore list so that you dont see his posts and theerfore they won't bother you, or a bunch of us could go over to the acadia forum and do the same thing he's doing here and have each of our sigs read "I do this because don willems does this on our pilot board"

or both

Those options don't do it for me:

1) If I ignore him, I still see all the replies, etc.

2) Two wrongs don't make a right.

I agree, just put him on your ignore list. I don't believe that there is a definitive way to ban. You can ban by username and IP address. Of course, you can always just sign up under another username and most people have a dynamic IP address. The best thing is for everyone to just to stop replying - easy to do if you have him ignored. Although on the MDX site, the mods just kept deleting all of the text of a particularly offensive poster who kept signing up under new usernames. Eventually they got bored and went away once they found their message text was being deleted.

My other concern about Don is that he is feeding incorrect PROPAGANDA to unknowing folks that are visiting the site and trying to decide what car to purchase.

Unfortunately, my type of personality requires me to try and discredit his incorrect statements. I feel like that if I just ignore him that he will post his incorrect information and leave it there for the unsuspecting...which doesn't feel fair to folks who have not yet purchased a Pilot.

Eagle Pilot, I hope you don't decide to leave...Don will move on eventually as his poop won't sell here and he'll move on to Highlander, or Kia.org.

We're open to opinions, however, being open to opinions does not mean that we are going agree with them. We've told you our opinions and you choose to ignore them and continue to post in spite of the fact that you have little chance of changing them. I believe that we originally treated you with respect however, the repetition of the same thing over and over again (with some incorrect facts) erodes that respect quickly. As a matter of fact, if your methods are indicitive of GM corporate behavior, then I'm really not sure that GM really understands the totality of their problems.

Maybe GM HR needs a letter.

Seems as both an employee of GM and acting as an advocate of GM, he is also acting a a "representative" of GM.

I know from my stint in the corporate world, I would NOT be allowed to participate on a forum and attempt to disparage the competition.

If someone will give me an address where someone will read it and pay attention, I'll write a letter.

No offense, but you're a raving moron bent on wasting your time and everyone else's.

What happened to this ultimatum? Go already and while you're at it take blueriverpilot with you.
Honda implants that are here to influence the boards by discouraging members from discussing problems should be the first to go.

See, this illustrates the contrast: malmon is on my ignore list (in fact he may be the only one), and I can actually ignore his occasional silly potshots. That's not possible with Willems.

Sorry - but I do not take pot-shots. If I have said someting that is not accurate let me know. I never ever said Honda is a bad car. All I suggest is that you keep an open mind.

Well, you were claiming that CR reliability surveys reflect biased data. Since JD Power shows that both GMC and Chevrolet models are below industry average in their 2006 Vehicle Dependability Study, I think that supports the lower than average reliability scores shown in CR.

I think most everyone has expressed an open mind. We have pretty reached the same conclusion, when you can show proof of long term reliabilty, we will seriously consider GM again. I don't know why you fail to understand what we are telling you, but it translates into "show us 4 or so years of red dots and we'll listen to you - until then you're just wasting your time".
