Default Valentine's Day Gift Ideas

Just thought I would start a thread that may be of interest to some folks. I try to stay away from non-Pilot topics, but since politics seem to be taking over the forums, I thought I would attempt to divert the conversation for at least a couple weeks.

So, what are you getting for your significant other? The poll is by no means intended to be comprehensive, so please post ideas, questions, etc.

I am getting my wife an iPod. It is the 30 GB White version, with a really nice green case. It has an inscription on the back to make it more personal. I was going to go with the flowers deal, but it is just too much money for something that will be gone in a couple days. Instead, I am having the iPod delivered to her office with a single gerber daisy in the package.

Thoughts?

Hmmmm, normally flowers and we go out to eat, but since we are going to be on vacation in Chandler AZ that week - not sure.

Maybe I can just tell her that the trip to AZ is her Valentine's gift!!!

I have never given my wife for the last 39 years any thing more than a card on Valentine's Day, maybe two if it has been a good year. What I like to do is send flowers or buy her a gift during the year when there is nothing special associated with the day. Like last month when I sent her Happy Inventory Flowers. The way I look at it any one can remember Valentine's Day, they start two months in advance reminding you! To me it is the non-special days that count the most.

My plan: Card, flowers, candy from a local shop, and a red Motorola RAZR phone.

Usually I just get her flowers and candy, but she's been wanting a new phone so I threw that in too!
