Buying from the US - Honda Pilot

Hi all,

I'm just looking at the obvious difference between canadian MSRP and american MSRP for the Pilot Touring ($ 40 245 in the US, $ 50 420 canadian). At today's exchange rate, that $ 40 245 USD ends up looking like $ 41 704 canadian dollars. that's an $ 8 700 difference !

Does anyone have any experience in travelling to the US to purchase a Pilot ? If so, what kind of extra fees / hassles can I expect to encounter ?

Firstly Honda Canada will NOT honor warranty on car imported from USA. Most car makers honor the warranty but Honda won't.

Secondly there are broker will do import paperwork re the car for you. What you need is negotiate the price and pay for the car, then they will do the rest and you bring car back home.

Import Service that charge less, 250.00 + tax

Not all dealers will sell to Canadian. Check this site

and ask them which Honda dealer will sell to Canadian. They have info but they don't want to publish them as these dealers may get warning from manufacturers.
