Going up to the Provincial Park in June, just wondering what to expect at the park.
Will have a spare day what suggestions of things to see in Ottawa? BTW, how much is fuel up there? |

Can't answer about the park, but gas up here is $0.97 CAD per liter in the Toronto area, should be similar in Ottawa. It was $1.04 last week. So you have 3.785 litres in a US gallon. Keep in mind the US exchange saves you around 11%. Lately the cost of a fill up when the empty light comes is around $60CAD so you are looking at $55US for a fill up.
For a spare day to fill, you can try the War Museum, the Museum of Civilization (Hull, Quebec, just across the bridge from Ottawa). The Byward market is an interesting place to hang out and shop eat. Here's a link to get you started. http://www.ottawatourism.ca/ Have Fun!

I haven't been there myself, but people who have been there have told me that it is a relatively small park that backs directly onto Highway #7. As a result if you get a site that abuts the highway you will be listening to traffic all night.
