Sign up sheet for the Honda Alliston Ontario tour - Honda Pilot

I spoke with my zone manager yesterday (finally), and he asked that I get a head count of people that would be interested in touring the Civic production facility in Alliston Ontario. He is going to be in touch with the head honchos to see if the plant engineers can walk us through personally

We can't get a proposed date until we can gauge interest in attending. I guesstimated 20 or so, but I need people interested in attending to post here with your head count. Now I'm not saying this has to be set in stone, but I need a rough number.

I'd be very interested, but since I'm not local and wouldn't be willing to travel just for this event, it would be blind luck that I'd be in the general area on whatever date you pick.

New year would work better for me too. I'm scheduled for some minor surgery for the beginning of next week and will be out of commission for a week. January works well for me with the most amount of notice possible!

The schedule date is open, but here's a tentative breakdown of the tour:

* Tour conducted by Honda corporate engineers

* Visit of the test facilities, including vibration analysis, crash test rooms, AND the test track (possibly including rides around the track with Honda test people

)

* Tour of vehicle assembly, painting, etc

* I'm also trying to get Honda to throw in goodie bags

So NOW who wants to come?

Scoobs, SundayRider, Donx, Mikey etc. Do some searching on the site if you have a few minutes and let's PM the GTA piloteer's we know to get some momentum going here. I'm tied up for the next 4-5 days with a little hospital visit starting today or I'd help but let's make this bigger than our last meet. Icodeit, Whizmo, Granite etc. are some other names to contact + whomever else you know. If you can have a little patience Tim, I'd personally appreciate it. I'm sorry on the GTA'ers part for not more of a response on this so far. I know many seemed interested.

In January would be great. I try to talk to any Piloteer I see, but so far, I haven't seen any with the enthusiasm of the members here.
What about having some family members come with us?

Tim is there an age limit?

We can have this whenever, so don't feel in an immediate rush, even if we put it off till Feb.

Age limit? I don't think so, as I wanna bring my 5 year old son

I agree. Let's leave a few more weeks to gather who wants to go and then a few weeks after that for the actual tour. I know Tim has said that he wants to bring his kid(s). Any idea in terms of age restrictions on the tours? Obviously the older the better due to attention span/safety. I was thinking that my oldest 6 1/2 may enjoy it. A good reason to pull him from school for a day. However, I don't want to bring him if he's too young for Honda which I totally understand.

Doing the leasebusters.com thing by assuming short leases with low km's and high cash incentives. Tired of lease mileage restrictions yet don't want to buy just for that sake either.
