Default Questions about the 2004 Pilot Granite Edition

So I ended up buying the 2004 Granite Edition this week since there weren't much improvements in the 2005 LX.

Price paid: $36,015 (inc PDI+freight) + 100 (A/C tax) + $20 (battery/tire levy) + PST + GST

No Documentation fees.

Anyways, I was browsing the 2004 brochure about the interior features and it states:

1) Rear Cargo Net as standard - did anyone receive this in their Granite Edition as I can not find mine???? Is this the same rear cargo net that is usually sold in the accessories at hondacuraworld.com???

2) Rear Cargo Tie Downs - I know where the rear cargo hooks are but that is not the same as the rear cargo tie downs. Where are the tie downs??? And what do they look like???

3) Where's the rear bumper step????

I was wondering whether the dealer forgot to give us some accessories for this Pilot.

Thanks

Unhappy

I also have an Granite Edition and they don't come with any of that stuff.... ,i also thought where is that stuff so forget about it,i did get a set of extra rims thou, steel but anyways they could be used to mount some winter/snow tires .As far as the cargo net goes i picked one up from a local Toyota dealer for like $ 50 ,Honda guy was kinda crazy because he didn't even know what i was talking about but he was gonna sell me a "cargo organizer" for nearly $ 100 so guess what i said ?
So go back to your dealer and at least get your other set of steel rims, you paid for them .

Hmmm, interesting as the 2004 brochure specifically states that it comes with it. Guess I'll have to talk to the dealer.

Did anyone else who has the Granite Edition get the steel rims as a spare??? As I don't think the Vancouver dealers here are giving them out, nor does it say on the brochure that it comes with an extra set of steel rims.

Thanks!

Every Granite edition that I saw sold at Whitby Honda had the extra set of steel wheels included.
As Dac said go to a Toyota dealer and buy the cargo net for a 4Runner. It fits the Pilot perfectly. This is a picture of the 4runner net in a Pilot.

If you have a Wal-Mart close by, try their auto department. We bought a 3 'pocket' net from them for about $20 US. It was a dead ringer for the Honda supplied cargo net and fits perfectly!

Do you recall the name of the product and perhaps even the name of the company that manufactured it? Thanks.

I assume you looked in the compartment where the 3rd row headrests can be stored?

Just checking.

Yup, only the headrests are there in the rear compartment...nothing else. I'll be calling the dealership tomorrow. I had no idea the steel rims were suppose to be included....what would I do with them anyways????? A set for winter tires in the mild conditions of Vancouver???

A better question is this; " what would the dealer do with them"? Sell them to someone else, that's what.

No, sorry. Tomorrow I will swing by Wal-Marché and see if they still carry them. We have had ours for two years now and love it.

Here you go! I googled 'suv cargo net' and this is one of the responses:

http://www.cargogear.com/OneItemInfo...rtnum=HI3PKTNT

This looks very similar to ours. It attaches to the four upper fold-out hooks just inside the liftgate. I think they were a little less $ at W-M.

Great, thanks, mliechty. I'll swing by Walmart one of these days and see what they have for me.

I got my Granite edition back in March this year. I didn't get the cargo net and cargo tie down either. I called Honda Canada and they tod me that that was a misprinted from the earlier version of the brochure.

I did get a set of 4 steel rims in the trunk when I received my Pilot (from the original LX edtion, Honda Canada upgraded it with 4 alloy rims and give you the original LX steel rims also).

Went in to the dealer today and showed him the brochure I that stated cargo net and tie downs. The tie downs he said are the chrome "loops" on the cargo floor of the Pilot which you can use to tie things down with.

The cargo net he had to look around the dealership for one. He ended up taking one from the Odyssey and giving it to me. Now I'll need to find some little hooks for the bottom of the cargo net to attach it to the Pilot, as the bottom are only loops.

Thanks everyone!

Question

Pulsar, did you get your steel rimms too ?,even if you don't need them you could sell them or give them away but don't let the dealer have them,i'm sure they are worth around $ 50.00/each !
