Advertisers take note - there are a lot of us who are walking out and doing other things and/or Tivo'ing the game.
I'll spend three hours (and watch ads) for a good football game, but won't spend five hours to watch some excruciatingly-slow entertainment spectacle with poor football play, censored bands, terribly officiating and advertisements that have become more important than the game. Shorten the lead time to a single week, get rid of instant replay, and return to a 15-minute halftime of marching bands and I might be a lot more interested in the next superbowl.
It's supposed to be a football game. They need to keep their eye on the ball or this thing will become like WWF.
