Default Group Buy for Cloud Rider Grilles in the works

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to give you a heads up on a potential "group buy" that might happen in the forums of HondaSUV.com... So far we have 3 people (including myself) who is in for this... If we can get a large number of people, maybe we can get this thing for really cheap!

Please view this thread and let Patrick (HondaSUV's "Pilot Forum" moderator) know via this thread of your interests or not...

http://www.hondasuv.com/main2/viewto...er=asc&start=0

Thanks!

Default Cloud-Rider Grille Insert

I installed a Cloud-rider stainless steel Grille insert a couple of months ago. There are a couple of different designs that the company offer. I got the spectare mesh design and it looks good on a silver Pilot.

john802, thanks for the pics. Really appreciate them and I agree, the stainless mesh would look good on a SS Pilot. How was installation for these babies? Any special tools needed? How long did it take? Required getting under the car for the bottom piece to be installed? Thanks for your time and courtesy.

redn22, any idea as to how much the S&H costs will be since we're up in Canada? As well, what about the duties that may be levied on these things when they're coming across the border or if the shipper uses some kinda customs brokerage houses, then what about the fees for that?

I'm very excited about this group buy, but from my personal experience, often when ordering from the States, the cost of S&H plus the levied customs duties will often make the product considerably more expensive than the original price of what it normally goes for in the US. Thanks.

RipRock - It only takes me <5 minutes to install/remove the Grilles. You don't need any tools to install it. It comes with 9 aluminum bracket and speed screw. It mounts to the existing Grilles. I hope this helps.....

Thanks John802 for the price list and posting the great pictures. Now I am thinking that would look cool. Any idea if these designs restrict cooling in the summer to any significant degree?
Thanks,

That's good to hear. I'm just all thumbs when it comes to things like this. I think I'll go with the mesh design, like yours. The vertical and the oval designs are a bit too flashy for me.

Been thinking for a while about something like this for my Pilot. With all the gravel dumped on the roads during the winters here, I've always been concerned about the big gap in the lower bumper area. There are many small pebbles stuck between the fins right now on my radiator. Even thought about using chicken fence wiring to make something out of it, but I think this will look better

Here's a close-up pic of my Cloud-Rider Spectare mesh (small holes) with bright mirror finish.

I'm also interested in the group buy. I would like to get another one with the same finish but with the larger holes. I'll be using the ones with the larger holes in the hot summer months.

desertpilot, thanks for the close-ups. The holes aren't as small as I first thought they were. But seeing as how you want to use the bigger holes grille, have you noticed an increase in temperature at all with your current grille on?
