can someone tells me, how do I know when was honda pilot built just by the VIN number?Thank you!!

The manufacture date, in the form MM/YY, should be on the driver door jamb certification label.

VIN# 2HKYF18764H594160 (says was built JUNE/04)?

The different between these two number is the "check digit", one is 5 and one is 6. What is check number mean anyway???

Please help me....!!!

hello everyone,

I just purchase an 04 LX in sage brush metalic this past weekend. Last six of the vin is 616193. So far, we are very happy with it, can't wait to add some accesories and other things to make it my own.

Took delivery on 7 Jan 2005, VIN: 507685, built in Canada. Dealer-provided options: Rear splash guards, wheel locks. Also, dealer-installed pinstripe.

Now busy adding additional options ...

My silver 05 EX-L was made in Jan 05 by "Honda of Alabama".

The last 6 digits are 017559.

If the VIN info at the Edmunds site is correct, then my Pilot was made by Ford!

I don't think so!

Just picked up my 2005 EX (black--or "nighthawk black pearl" to be exact) today. It was built in Canada in December 04. Last six digits of the vin are 529225. We're very happy with it, and pleased to find such a robust online community of enthusiasts. Stay well!
