Default 6 speed trans - NEEDED

Has anyone had a chance to drive the "new" 6 speed thats been offered in the lastest gen Ody touring for a couple years now? A friend of mine and I test drove a 4 Ody's and 1 Sienna's last weekend (save the jokes!) and the 6 speed trans of Ody touring really stands out.

Found in the Ody touring only, the extra gear really brings the V6 to life, providing great feel of low power at light throttle. The lag felt when we are easy on the gas, was gone compared to the 5 speed. The 6-speed also seemed to give less VCM feedback, because as a driver or passenger I was having a hard time knowing when VCM was active. (Again, we drove 4, 2 being 5-speeds, due to VCM complaints all over the net, and not one had any sort of vibe)

My buddy went back with his wife the next day and bought the Ody touring. I drove it again yesterday, and WOW I am again impressed. We NEED a 6 speed! Stat!

Default 6 speed trans - NEEDED

The Accords now have it, next Pilot should have it as well.

Default

The Acura MDX has had a 6-speed since 2010.
Maybe it'll trickle down to the Pilot one of these years.
