While looking into the latest travel trailer towing aero mods and threads, I learned I am a bit out of date but surprisingly didn't miss anything.
I did run across an interesting compilation to compare the Pilot to though, but while not listed within this compilation, the Gen2 Pilot Coefficient of drag is 0.35, per Cars.com and Consumer Reports. Vehicle Coefficient of Drag List - EcoModder Also consider other trucks and SUV's that also look like bricks, like the Chevy Terrain getting up to 32mpg and the much heavier than the Pilot Ford F-150 Ecobost getting up to 23 mpg. Many studies are stating the front of the vehicle is only 25% of the aerodynamic equation, and that doesn't count the engine/transmission. And that percent is further broken down when a trailer is included. Meaning, and my point of this thread is; today the front end design of a vehicle is only remotely related to MPG. |

That's why I installed a F1-type wing on the back of mine.
Sponsorship/endorsement deals available. ;-)
