Talking From a Volvo XC90 to a 2008 Pilot

Well, I did it. Just got rid of my XC90 after one transmission @ 70k miles, over 4k in total repair costs, and now a blown engine @ 103k miles. Volvo said there is nothing I can do for you. I have a $10K+ car in my driveway that is worthless. So long for Volvo for life.

When I test drove the Pilot I was surprised at how well it drove and its comfort and was just about instantly sold. Granted the interior finishes aren't as refined, but no one sees the interior finishes from the outside!

What do I need to know about keeping a Honda running well? I want a trailer hitch and understand that the transmission cooler and radiator have been beefed up for towing. Is this true?

I'm happy to be a part of the Honda family and look forward to finally seeing the odometer going through the miles without shelling out $$$ for repairs.

Welcome. The XC-90 was a serious contender when we bought our MDX. I just couldn't pull the trigger on Volvo reliability over Acura. Glad I didn't.

I believe the transmission/power steering coolers were added as standard equipment for the 2009 model year. The 2008 needs them added.

Sounds familiar. Wifey has a xc70 that's been good for the most part.
