Default 2012 Pilot: Where is the alternator and the intake?

Where is the alternator and the intake in the 2012? Does anyone know of a diagram or something like that which I can find online?

I went running through some trails a few days ago and came along a huge and deceivingly deep puddle. I stopped, checked things out and went through maybe a little too fast as I later discovered muddy water marks all over my engine compartment. Thank god nothing bad happened. Anyway, I want to get in there and clean things up but want to cover up the alternator and the intake before doing anything.

The air intake is in the wheel well under the air filter.

Water gets thrown around the engine when it hits the fan.

Check where the breathers are for duffs etc

Thanks rocky but I don't know what you mean by "checking the breathers for duffs"

You don't need to cover the alternator. Just use a small tub of water with a little dish soap and rag. You won't flood/ruin any of your electronics. I've cleaned all my Honda engine bays in this manner for over 12 years now. No need to rinse with a hose. Just refill your tub with some clean water and a little more soap and give it another once over. Then dry with a towel. Your engine bay will look like new (baring any rust).

I like to use Aerospace303 on all plastics & hoses after that. I got full asking price for my Honda Element because I detailed the engine bay so nicely. The knew I took care of my cars.
