I have a 2004 Pilot in very good condition that I plan to keep for quite a while. A few upgrades are in order which I want to suss out with the learned Piloteers first:
1) Driver and passenger seats have integrated headrests. Would seats from a later model Pilot be a direct replacement fitup? I'd like to add DVD headrests at some point so this change would facilitate that and add adjustable headrests. 2) No fog lights. I've seen some genuine Honda front trim kit and fog light sets. Anyone know if they are direct bolt on? Does this generally involve splicing wiring and adding a switch to the dash? Is there a factory switch to keep a clean look on the dash? 3) The factory HU is the single CD and tapedeck model. Are there aftermarket head units that will support CD , bluetooth integration for handsfree and audio streaming from iPod as well as AUX inputs for iPod? The biggest caveat is I'd like to preserve the steering wheel controls if possible at the same time. That's the big questions. I'm also planning to get the door sills repainted (some paint bubbling near the factory sill cover) and put stainless sill covers on, add some running boards or nerf bars and some weathertek mats for all three rows. I love this vehicle! 160,000 km's and its in GREAT shape! |

Point of clarification - the fron headrests on the existing seats aren't adjustable (tilt or position) but are they removable? If so, I guess I could pull them for adjustable headrests such as those with built in LCD monitors, correct?

They are adjustable up and down (at least on my EXL). They can pop right out if you press the buttons and keep pulling up. A different headrest should fit fine as long as the post spacing is the same. You won't know till you try.
