Hi everyone,
I recently purchased a New Pilot and I'm loving it thus far. The car is a blast to drive and it handles very well. I'm coming from a Nissan Armada, so I can certainly appreciate the savings in gas. I do miss something in the Armada but the Pilot does a good job of taking care of most of our needs on a daily basis. One thing, I am missing is the rear parking sensors. I'm getting quite a bit older and its rather painful for me to rotate my head as much as I used to be able to. My Armada had sensors that would beep whenever I would approach an object of any sort. I was wondering if it is possible to install aftermarket sensors? I don't need them to be connected to the display unit, but just something that will aid me in backing out. I called my dealer and they said it would be about $300 to install it through them. That's a bit steep and since I'm leasing the car, I want something that will be safe and that I can take off with me. I had once seen some where they would adhere to the car and then send a signal to a unit inside, does anyone know what I'm talking about? This isn't a huge issue, but its nice to have that extra piece of mind. Thanks in advance!

Call up a local aftermarket stereo store and fine out what they can do the job for.

Also, I once remember some stick on sensors and a laser one that didn't require one to drill holes into the back, has anyone tried those with luck? Thanks in advance! |
