Default New 2012 Touring Pilot

My wife and I picked up her new 2012 4wd Touring edition Pilot last week. It is the new color, Dark Amber. My wife LOVES the Pilot, she's wanted one for years. We traded in her 1999 Lexus ES300 and with 91k miles. I negotiated the asking price down to $37,500 and demanded they give us $6500 for trade. We put more money down after trade. We test drove a lot of other comparable suv's but we kept coming back to the pilot. My wife didn't want to test drive any other car but I forced her to. We could always find another suv that did something better then the Pilot but it would lack in other areas. The Pilot was the whole package and we are very happy with it.

We have had one issue. The power moon roof auto reverses when you close it 75% of the time. I already found the fix on the forum. I think we will just take it back to the dealer and have them recalibrate it.

#1 Congrat.s on making your wife happy.

#2 Congrats on your Pilot purchase.

Would love to see a pic. of the color of your vehicle in daylight. I had one dealer tell me all the Pilot colors were funeral colors. Maybe that's why I got white. ;-) I wouldn't mind seeing some brighter colors myself.

hahaha, Yes, the #1 thing was making my wife happy. A happy wife is a happy life!

I'll take some day time photos this weekend, it gets dark so early now by the time we get home from works it's too dark already.

Daytime photos. From the side it looks grey, but from the 3/4 angle it has a dark purple/maroon tint to it.

Looks really nice in the light. You should submit those pic.s for Nov. Ride of the Month. ( I won the October contest and I think my pic. lasted three days until the auto show ads. went up but I've supposed to have one a free oil change as well. We will have to see. ;-) )
