Default Which would you buy?

Hi guys, went looking for a 2012 EX L W/Nav $35,800 + the dealer has a 2011 Touring he offered me for $36,600+. This would be a purchase and hope to own for a while, current car we had for 10 years. Finance special on touring is 0.9% the 2012 have 1.9% financing. Of course the wife likes the touring with the extra features but I say the 2012 has some improvements .....which one do you get? Those numbers are both first price no haggling yet but prob not much more room on either. Thanks for any advise.

You're already spending $35K-$37K, so spend another $1,500-$2,000 and get a 2012 Touring.
That way you'll both be happy.
Make sure you get 4WD.

You should be able to get a lower price on the 2011 than he is offering. Check Edmunds.com real value pricing to see what they have been selling for. Also...the .9% financing will cust your interest charge almost in half as compared to the 1.9% on the 2012.

Oh...one other thing, memory seats are only available on the touring.

I think I may have added to your dilema, sorry.

I was pushing it with the 37K, really wanted just the EX-L due to the fact that she drives 10K a year around town....."do you need nav to get around" LOL. The other problem is the finance offers end in 2 weeks and 2012 Touring are not around and she won't bend on color to much. I think we end up with the 2011 Touring......Thanks for all the help and will post when I decide.

Define "not around?"
Some dealers do have them. How far away have you looked?
Northern, central or southern NJ?
What color combo(s) does your wife consider acceptable?

If you're planning to keep this car for a decade, or so, you should try to get one that you both will like.
After spending close to $40K, you don't want to spend 10 years wishing you'd gotten a 2012 or - worse - have your wife keep reminding you that she really wanted the Touring version.
