Talking Got a new 2011 Pilot EX 4WD :)

Finally picked up a Pilot after much talking and looking around for something that can suite my needs. Got it in polished metal metallic with black cloth interior. I kind of wanted leather, but I picked up a new '11 Honda Crosstour EX-L 4WD, so I wasn't desperate for it. I needed space for hauling, biking, and boating. I'm paying $490 a month for 72 months. Compared to other deals, I couldn't say no. The Crosstour is $373 a month for comparison, on a 36 month lease(just tax/title/first months down). Stayed at the dealer till 10:30 last night waiting for it as I was cramming for nursing exams. Damn glad I have it now

Thanks guys!I'm liking it so far a lot. I've driven about 450 miles on it and have averaged 18.9mpg city/hw. As experienced on my crosstour, the mpg's weren't spectacular right off hand, but they got better as a few thousand miles went into it. Also, as experienced with my crosstour, it wasted about 1 quart in about 5000 miles. I'm at 8,900 miles on it right now and the level hasn't moved a bit, which actually is something that I don't like. I'd rather have it "burn" 1 quart in 5k miles than nothing at all. But, we'll see how it goes from here.

As for the hitch, I'm currently working on fabricating a 4-bike hitch mount of my own with my dad at his work(he's got ALL the neat tools!). Maybe we'll also do a hitch transport carrier. The only problem with that is that I like to overdo it in terms of strength. If it won't hold a dangling tank, it's not stung enough. It might be too heavy to be of practical use when considering the tongue weight. Solid steel is heavy!

We actually liked the blue, maroon, and gray in the Pilot. We didn't get the maroon because it's a new car, but looks old because of the color got dirty so easily. We loved how the red taillights contrasted with the gray on our Pilot. We couldn't get the blue because they wouldn't pass on the deals on a Pilot brought from another dealer. We got to sit on a blue exl pilot inside the showroom and liked how the metallic coat glittered. It's a nice color! Have fun with it! Don't know if you will go off-road with it, but its surprisingly comfortable off-road, and real easy to control over rough stuff. It's also easy to climb stuff with the throttle. Haven't even tried the diff-lock yet. I haven't even passed 600 miles on it yet! I want my money's worth!!

Default Congrats!

Congrats--nice choice. We got ours in June and our color choice was between the blue or metal metallic, and the dealer only had the metal metallic in stock in the Touring 4WD version. It's the wifey's car and she loves it! The only mods I've done so far is put the AVS hood deflector and 3M headlight protector film. All the best and enjoy your new Pilot!
