Default My Pilot has an oven!

Last week I bought a used 2009 Pilot LX (my first). After making two 100 miles trips in it I noticed that the center console compartment (the one with the padded arm rest) gets extremely warm inside. Even the outside is warm to the touch. I doubt that this is normal and wondered if others had experienced this.

That could be a possibility except I was running the vent and AC on the second trip.
I also checked the light inside the compartment to make sure it wasn't on.

The rear heater core is underneath, and it is normal.

Then I guess I won't be able to keep chocolate in there then.

My 05 has always had a hot console from new which is irritating since I like to store CDs, my GPS, sunglasses, cell phone and other things that really should not be exposed to excessive heat.

My 2008 EX-L does the same and freaking irritating me. I went to two different dealer and they said also normal even if it is not warm, it is freaking HOT!

Asked me to pay $110.00 to look at it even I have non power-train warranty.

Dang it!!! someday I will pay and check it out to have peace of mind.
