Default Spring came loose from 2nd row seat!

Hi folks,

A supporting spring came loose from the rear seat. The seat now rattles like crazy...

I see where the spring came loose but

1) Its very hard to reach that spot under the seat
2) The spring is extremely rigid and I cant flex it by hand to mount it where it needs to go ?

Is seems simple but its really more complicated. Photo of spring attached.

Ideas?

thanks everyone

What a PIA! Its something a local auto upholstery company could probably reinstall in under a minute. There is a spreader tool that they have which makes all the difference in the world. Hopefully you don't have to remove the seat to put it back on

I had an detailer (not a professional upholstery guy) try this. He could come within an inch but could not get the endpoints of the spring to latch.

I will have to remove the damn 2nd row seats..

Can you pls post a link or something to the spreader tool?
