Wider will get you less MPG, worse hydroplaning and worse deep snow traction.

Tirerack gives good advice.

limit yourself to 245/70-16 due to the rim width.

I don't think any reputable tire shop will go wider than 245/70/16 on stock rims.

Default wide tires

Thank you members, n Jay,rocky&mclairmo for your replys
Now I know my limit with the stock rims.
I'm thinking going with the Michelins LTX M/S 2 245/70X16 on the oem rims.

I have 245/70 16 on my Pilot and IMHO they are the perfect size.

I agree 245/70/16 work great. A bit wider and I think that size looks more like it fits the pilot than stock.

After 10k on the LTX, I reckon its the best tire I've had on my Pilot.

I've had the Bridgestone Alenzas on for a couple of years. They were great new but now are pretty noisey. I might try the LTX next time.
