New Member....just saying hello
New member here. Just signed up today. I have lurked a bit on this site while trying to decide what my next vehicle would be. Well I finally broke down and got a Pilot. I have been driving a 2001 Subaru Outback for the past 6 years and it was a great car but after 24 hours in my new Pilot I don't know how I ever got along without it. The Pilot rocks!
I bought a used 2006 Pilot EXL last Tuesday and I love it. Pilot had 48K miles on it and I paid $16,500. It was a pretty good deal. Runs smooth with no problems I am aware of yet (knock on wood). I bought it from IIHS which conducts crash tests and this vehicle has undergone two tests, one a 6 mph and another at 10mph. All damage was repaired (very little damage actually...you should see the other car!). More on this story later. I will see if I can post some pictures and/or video.
I have some questions for all you 2006 Pilot owners and I will post those soon. I'm in the process of making this vehicle my own. I just added a pair of Yakima cross bars to the side rails. I still need to work on the stereo, speakers, and I need some new floor mats. I will be looking to the Piloteer board for advice on these purchases. I'd prefer to make the right purchase first rather than order something only to find out it doesn't fit or the quality is poor.

I just spend 11 years in a few minivans and I'm soo glad to be done with that and loving my new pilot.
