Hello all - just bought a 2003 Pilot with 168,000km. I have a few questions. After a new water valve and t-stat I'm getting very little cabin heat. Is there anything other than heater core that could cause this? And if so, is the core replacement as tough as it looks?
I'm also getting a fair bit of clunking, front and rear - the dealer installed new stabilizer links, but it didn't help - could it be strut mounts or stabilizer bushings? Last, but not least, the VTM lock doesn't work (and yes, I'm trying to use it correctly) - the dealer pulled 3 codes: 43-1 Oil temp sensor; 44-1 vtm-4 relay failure - checked this and it looks OK; and the scariest one: 53-1 left clutch coil failure. The dealer says they've never seen the last one before. Anny thoughts or advice are welcome. The AWD seems to engage normally otherwise. After owning two older Volvos, I'm quite comfortable under the hood or the car, so if there are possible fixes, I'd love to hear about them. ![]() Thanks. |

Can't speak to your VTM issues. This thread seemed to have helped others with the no-heat issue.
