I am considering adding boards to my 2011 and I would like to know:
1. Is worth adding this step? I am no looking to enhance the looks, I am short and I need a step. 2. Do this board works in getting in and out? The standar size for OEM type is 4", that does not seen much of room to step on. 3. Which type do you recommend? plain, premiums, OEM type or Private label brands. 4. How hard is to install them? I did look on You-Tube and it seen easy. 5. Any recommendation places to buy? |

I have added the Honda Premium Boards to my 2011 Touring edition. It has made it easier for my family to get in and out of the Pilot. Personally I think it looks better and as long as it's easier for them it was worth it. I bought at my local dealer. They were willing to make a deal on install price due to current economy conditions. Good Luck

Added the lighted running boards to our 2011 Touring. Honestly for appearance and the lights more than the functionality. We test drove one with running boards and found that we step over them both going in and out. May be good for children or older passengers. But they look great!
We had them installed by the dealer though the Youtube makes it look fairly simple, cost installed was $823 in CT. |

If it serves a purpose for you then absolutely, by all means. I personally don't like the look of running boards on the Pilot. I had them on my previous vehicle, 2002 Explorer, and it looked OK. I just think that running boards make the car look lower while I'd rather keep a higher look and feel.
