Default Just picked up a 2005

Hello All,

I just picked up a 2005 with 51000 miles on it. Honda Certified for what that is worth. I am new here but not new to automotive forums. I have a S2000 and I am a Chapter Director on S2KCA in North Carolina.

I plan on changing all of the fluids ASAP since I am not sure when they were done last. I have looked at the DIY for the tranny and rear diff, I would think the oil is pretty straight forward. Is there a DIY on brake bleeding? I have done it several times on the S but I would like to know which wheel to do first.

Also is there a place to find a service manual online?

So far Mama really likes it and so do I.

Kevin

With a honda certified vehicle, all scheduled maintenance should have been done. they also should have shown you what was done or not.

Please Honda VTM4 fluid only for your rear diff.......

BTW if it still has the Goodyear Integrity tires on it, get rid of them and put some Michelin's on pronto. Those GY are horrid on anything other than dry roads

Good find mine has double the miles.

Welcome, fellow S2000 owner! I'm the same user name on S2KCA. (2004 Sebring)

FWIW, I didn't see any problem with the Integrities. Obviously a lot of people are more particular about tires than I am, even replacing brand new ones asap, but I thought they were fine.

I didn't realize we had so many S2KCA folks here!!! I'm a former member as well and used to be the Co-Director for the Chapter in Northern Colorado. Later, my Son took over the spot. Now - neither of us have S2000's, but will never forget how great a roadster they are!!!! I had a '05 GPW and a '06 LBP.

I understand they check the box and say it is done but I prefer knowing that the fluids have been changed....a small amount of money for peace of mind.

And I would only go with OEM Fluids for the rear diff and the tranny.

Thanks for the info guys .

Hey Guys,

I am the CD in Central North Carolina. The S is a toy and the Pilot is the wifes ride, we traded her 02 Acura TL for it. She LOVES it as do I. I figured there would be some S2000 owners here since we obviously love the brand. Though lately the products leave something to be desired IMHO.

So do Piloteers do meets like S2000 owners?? We get together once a month here in Raleigh.

Here is my S MY00 #779 with MY08 wheels. I haven't gotton any pics of the Pilot yet and of course with the crappy weather it is dirty already.
